Nigeria Immigration Increases International Passport Fees to N100,000 and N200,000
The Nigeria Immigration Service ( NIS ) has increased international passport fees for Nigerians. Now, the cost of obtaining a Nigerian international passport has doubled: The 32-pages passport valid for five years is now ₦100,000, rising from ₦50,000. The 64-pages passport valid for 10 years, which was previously priced at ₦100,000, now cost ₦200,000. These new prices will start taking effect from September 1, 2025. The increment announcement was made ACI AS Akinlabi, service public relations officer of the NIS. According to Akinlabi, the revised fees are applicable solely to passport applications submitted within Nigeria. To put it in perspective: Back in 2007, the same 32-page passport cost just ₦8,750. Fast-forward 18 years, and it’s now 11x that price.
